For decades, nosotros've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F**k positivity," Mark Manson says. "Permit's be honest, shit is f**ked and we have to live with information technology." In his wildly popular Net blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells information technology like information technology is—a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely defective today. The Subtle Fine art of Non Giving a F**m is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-experience-good mindset that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Human beings are flawed and limited—"not everybody tin exist boggling, there are winners and losers in gild, and some of information technology is not off-white or your mistake." Manson advises us to get to know our limitations and accept them. Once we embrace our fears, faults, and uncertainties, in one case we finish running and fugitive and start against painful truths, we tin can brainstorm to find the courage, perseverance, honesty, responsibility, curiosity, and forgiveness we seek.
There are just and then many things we can give a f**one thousand about so we need to figure out which ones really matter, Manson makes clear. While money is nice, caring nigh what you do with your life is better, considering true wealth is nearly experience. A much-needed grab-you-by-the-shoulders-and-look-yous-in-the-heart moment of real-talk, filled with entertaining stories and profane, ruthless humor, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**g is a refreshing slap for a generation to help them pb contented, grounded lives.
Apple tree BOOKS REVIEW
A self-aid book for those of us who swore nosotros'd never need one, The Subtle Fine art of Not Giving a F*ck proves that there's real value in shunning relentless positivity. Though Mark Manson mocks the genre'south usual earnest "Go get 'em, tiger!" tone, his volume isn't an ironic parody. Manson's advice on learning to accept everyday frustration and negativity is genuinely useful—and Roger Wayne'due south thing-of-fact narration is an equally refreshing change to chirpy affirmations. Advice from a friend: you might not want to listen to this audiobook in the motorcar until subsequently you've dropped the kids off.

Faker
There are a few adept points covered in this book. They could have been covered in a few pages. The author doesn't seem to be an expert - but a guy with a schtick who is trying to sell a book. Loves to talk about himself as if he'due south a major success, and interestingly, he loves to dwell on his success with women. All this while preaching about how financial success and sexual conquests are unimportant and outwide a grounded values organization. This guy is a faker.
